STUDENTS AND COMMUNITY MERGE VOLUNTEERISM AND CUISINE FOR GRAND OPENING OF FIRST CHICK-FIL-A IN SEGUIN
Texas Lutheran University Students and Seguin Residents Work Together to Bring Hope to Those in Need Before Celebrating Community with Opening of Restaurant
SEGUIN, TX (February 12, 2018) - Students attending Texas Lutheran University as well as citizens of Seguin are in for a treat this April as the first Chick-fil-a restaurant in the city of Seguin will be opening up for business at TLU, at a site on campus that is made accessible for non-students to enjoy a meal as well. To celebrate the company’s vision of charity and the University’s consistent volunteerism, there will be a day full of service prior to the grand opening. Various service projects through many different organizations in town will be completed at the benefit of those in need in and around Seguin. For the grand opening of the Chick-fil-a, donations will also be accepted and 100% of funds raised will go towards helping the organizations and charities that took part in the day of service earlier in the day such as Christian Cupboard, Mosaic, Eden Cross, Teatro de Artes, Humane Society, Family Violence Shelter, and more. The event will maintain Texas Lutheran’s reputation for having a student body geared towards serving others, one of their proudest features.
