Bites of Fun: Seguin Food Truck Festival Event Plan

Event: Bites of Fun: 1st Annual Seguin Food Truck Festival
Anna Trevino, McKenzie Sells
Date: May 25th, 2018, 10:00 AM - 5:00 PM, to be continued annually
Location: Starcke Park and its parking lot
Purpose: Our purpose for this event is to give Seguin residents easier access to food chains and restaurants that do not have a permanent location in Seguin. We hope to make it easier for residents to enjoy food that you would otherwise need to drive to New Braunfels, San Marcos, Austin, or San Antonio to get. Every attendee will receive a paper ballot as they enter, and at the end, they can rank their choices on it and express which food truck they enjoyed the most, as well as which one they would most like to see at a permanent location in Seguin. After the event, we are aiming to bring the most popular food truck restaurant to a brick-and-mortar building in Seguin for residents and students to enjoy any day of the year.

Unfair advantage
This will be the first time a food truck festival has occurred in Seguin with the intent to keep one or more of the food trucks here all the time, as opposed to bringing them here temporarily and then moving on. We benefit our community as well as outside franchises that want to expand.
Unique Value Proposition Solution:
Wish there was a Chick-fil-a in Seguin? What about Torchy’s? Chipotle? Come to Bites of Fun and enjoy all three right here in town! Tell us how much you love it, and they just might stay.
Audience
Anyone from or living in the city of Seguin, TLU students, families.

Channels
The marketing channels we will focus on are: Social Media, word of mouth, advertisements in town such as billboards & flyers, radio ads, and newspaper ads.
Key Metrics
We will measure success by 1. Number of attendees/volunteers, 2. Meals purchased, 3. Number of opinion ballots received

Revenue
There will be no cost to attending the event, as we will not be profiting off of it, rather the only money paid by customers goes directly to the restaurants for the purchase of their food.
