Pitch Letter
April 17,
2018
Dear Kati
Waxler,
Ready for
Chick-fil-a in Seguin, Texas? Chipotle? Want a Raising Cane's? It’s finally here.
Your
readers would appreciate knowing about an upcoming event in Seguin, called
Bites of Fun: Seguin Food Truck Festival which is a combined effort of poplar
restaurants in the neighboring areas of Seguin, Seguin-based restaurants, and
local organizers. The goal is to provide new
kinds of food to those ready for more choices in Seguin as well as providing
the food joints with new customers. We arrange popular places to come to Seguin
so that people can eat their food at home instead of driving to New Braunfels,
Austin, San Marcos, etc. for their favorite food. You may recall a different
food truck festival here in Seguin that acts as a fundraiser for Hermann Sons Lodge #37, but they only include 5
trucks and host other restaurants. This event is purposed to bring a number of
these eateries to Seguin, permanently! We want to make sure Seguin residents
and visitors can have what they want, when they want it, and keep business in
town. A fun, comfortable, and social environment is promised at the festival
for all those who come out.
Sincerely,
Anna

Op-ed:
A close-knit community such as Seguin’s enjoys getting together
with their friends and family while doing something that isn't a part of their
regular routine which could involve school or work. Participating in a food
truck festival will be entertaining for children of all ages and even adults
who will be able to step away from parenthood for a little bit and enjoy
themselves for a night. This also encourages new friendships and relationships
that will continue to grow. There is a variety of cuisine for everyone to try
and broaden their desires while talking and hanging out with others, and we
welcome a larger crowd from outside of the Seguin community that will only
enhance the growth and diversity of the city. Seguin is all about welcoming
others to their home hence why Seguin advertises “Seguin; Welcome home” as a
welcome sign for visitors to see and feel more invited and comfortable. Seguin
is a wonderful and supportive community that deserves to have frequent nights
where there are exciting new adventures and ways to try new things with new
people.
Being able to support a community just by having a good time at
this festival can only provide positive experiences and memories that will last
forever. Eating and having a good time with friends and family is what this
community enjoys. What gets any better than that?
