I just had a few questions after reading your summary... Why does Seguin need this? What is the unemployment rate in Seguin? How is the different from Goodwill and other nonprofits in the area that provide jobs/ clothes to those in need?
I liked how y'all broke up the cost of running this business, it is a good way to really understand what it is going to cost you. Y'all are creating this nonprofit for Seguin or San Antonio? How are y'all going to compete with other organizations that do or want to do the same thing?
I really like that you guys are going for something like this, but I think it will serve you well if you do some additional research on the topic before going any further with you project
This is very well thought out! I like that you are addressing all of Texas as very many small towns may not have action plans for helping build skill sets for special needs individuals.
This is very nicely done, I would agree with some of the other comments that you should add more information about why Seguin specifically needs this. Is there a high number of intellectually disabled people living here? Is there even enough to keep your organization running? If not maybe it would be better to have your University stationed somewhere larger like San Antonio or Auston and have smaller offices in Seguin and surrounding towns. Then you could optimize the amount of people you could reach while still helping the disabled community in Seguin.
In the first sentence it says your based in San Antonio, many people asked questions about that, I don't know if you should make that more clear? Anywho, very well organized! I would like to see something about how you would advertise this perhaps or scout prospective students into the course.
This is a great summary. I have one really specific questions: In the funding section, you talk about how you will receive funding using both grants and contributions and your own revenue. How are you planning to make revenue? Do the patients have to pay to receive this aid, or is it free and you're getting revenue from somewhere else?

ReplyDeleteThis is incredibly well detailed and planned. Only suggestion is to talk about competition and why Seguin desperately needs this
